On March 31, 1993, the first Réno-Dépôt opened its doors in Brossard, on Montréal’s South Shore. It was a 128,000-square-foot warehouse store boasting multiple aisles lined with shelves containing more than 35,000 quality items. It was the first warehouse for the home improvement market in Quebec. Nothing in Quebec retail could compare; all other stores were typical neighbourhood hardware stores, with or without a timber yard.
