Merrigong Theatre Company manages one of Australia''s busiest, most dynamic regional venues – Illawarra Performing Arts Centre in Wollongong, about an hour south of Sydney. The company also manages the city’s key civic and community venue, the Wollongong Town Hall. Merrigong is also a vibrant theatre company in its own right - producing, presenting and touring exciting contemporary theatre and supporting the development of a wide range of theatre-makers and local independent artists. Merrigong presents a diverse annual season of theatre, dance and children''s programming, including work sourced from Australia''s finest performing arts companies, self-produced work, acclaimed international productions, and innovative contemporary work from new companies. OUR VENUES Located in the heart of Wollongong''s Arts Precinct, Illawarra Performing Arts Centre is the region''s most loved and respected venue for the performing arts. Comprising three versatile spaces, the 515 seat IMB Theatre, the 234 seat Gordon Theatre and the 80 seat Bob Peet Studio, it plays host to a variety of events, from internationally renowned theatre, music and comedy to a wide range of community events. Wollongong Town Hall is the city''s key civic and community venue and is located within Wollongong''s Arts Precinct. Recently refurbished, Wollongong Town Hall comprises four meeting and performance spaces, including the 824 seat main auditorium. Smaller rooms are able to accommodate 30 to 270 people. The Wollongong Town Hall is suitable for a variety of performances, functions and celebrations.

You can purchase gift certificates for any amount when booking in person IPAC’s box office or over the phone. When booking online where they are made up to denominations of $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100. Gift certificates are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase.
