Joe’s story starts in the Abruzzi Mountains in Italy, where he was born and raised until he was old enough to join his father in Swansea.Joe’s father owned a string of coffee shops which sold rich roasted coffee to early morning dock workers. Joe was given ownership of the cafe at 85, St. Helen’s Road.As a passionate ice cream lover, Joe Cascarini sought to add a truly Italian flair to the Welsh cafes, and following a secret recipe from his home in Italy, he sourced the finest ingredients in Wales and introduced to Swansea his unique tasting signature ice cream.
