What is a “Best Before Date”?As you are aware, Brexit has brought its challenges with importing products from Germany. This affects the best-before dates of fresh products.Where fresh items have a shorter “Best Before Date”, we have listed this date next to the product, so you can decide if you are happy with this date.A “Best Before Date” is not an “Expiry Date” or “Use By Date”"Best before" dates are about quality, not safety. When the date is passed, it doesn''t mean that the food will be harmful, but it might begin to lose its flavour and texture.Every year, we throw away 7.2 million tonnes of food and drink in the UK, most of which could have been eaten. So think carefully before throwing away food past its "best before" date.Foods that have a best before date can legally be sold after that date provided the food is fit for human consumption.Special OfferThe delivery date of your parcel may be after the “Best Before Date” of the products in your basket. So double check you are happy to proceed. Where relevant we are now putting best before dates on the website so you can make up your own mind whether you want to order these products or not.We have suspended orders for delivery to Ireland and Northern Ireland. Any orders placed for Ireland & Northern Ireland will therefore be cancelled and refunded.You can now place your order to collect online. During the check out process, you have the option to collect your order and choose the collection date. Click and Collect orders are free to collect. Daily 11am-3pm Your German Deli parcel will be delivered by DHL. We dispatch your parcel the afternoon before the day of delivery (unless you live in an area where it will take 48H +). On the day of delivery, you will receive a notification from DHL with an estimated delivery time slot. DHL deliveries will be between 8:00 and 20:00.
