An old-fashioned plant nursery in Oxfordshire started by Andrew & Liz in 1992. They continue to run it alongside their daughter Lucy & her husband Simon, who with the help of their wonderful staff, are pleased to welcome all gardening enthusiasts. It is an emporium of plants & trees of all sizes & shapes including many rare & unusual varieties. They have a huge selection of bare root stock in the autumn with many heritage fruit trees, over 200 varieties of roses, pleached trees and hedging. In the summer the nursery is packed with perennials, grasses, herbs, lavender, climbers & more!All our staff have a wide range of horticultural knowledge and are always pleased to offer any help our customers may require. We strive to preserve the traditional values of nurseries past (sound, friendly advice; top quality plants; reasonable prices)Our customers delight in walking down winding pathways of the nursery to see what tempting plants are around the corner, sitting under the apple tree with a cup of free hot chocolate from our tearoom listening to the birds, exploring Old Walter’s wildflower meadow, and having a chat with our staff. Situated 8 miles from Oxford and 2 miles from Blenheim Palace in Woodstock it is perfect for plant-loving locals as well as visitors to the area.
