After running a successful restaurant and catering company in Lincoln, Tricia Ward aka "The Cookie Lady" decided to see if anyone would be interested in having Warm Cookies delivered fresh-from-the-oven. She started baking them in their catering kitchen located in the Grand Manse in downtown Lincoln and delivering them around town, mostly to friends at first. A one-woman shop, Tricia would pull over in the middle of a delivery to take an order, finish her deliveries, head back to the kitchen to bake more and start all over again. Within the first year, the catering business was overshadowed by Warm Cookies and her husband Jeff had to retire from his job to become the official "dough boy." They since have opened a store front, employed family and friends who are like family, have a fleet of hybrid delivery vehicles, and bring smiles with hundreds of thousands of Warm Cookies delivered each year.
