Pitch & Canvas is in an ideal location in terms of exploring the amazing Cheshire countryside and places to visit. There are so many things to so and see right on our doorstep, guests often feel a week isn’t long enough. Larger attractions close by include the Ice Cream Farm, BewWilderwood, Go Ape, Delamere Forest  whilst we also have some amazing smaller less heard of days out including the Northwich Salt Mines, Anderton Boat Lift, Tattenhall Marina, Shire Horse centre plus much more. We are on Regional Route 70 of the National Cycle Network, and have plenty of routes passing the entrance. Animal lovers could take a trip to Chester Zoo, or the Blue Planet Aquarium to see an array of marine life and walk through the shark tunnel.For unwinding and relaxing why even leave our site; at Pitch & Canvas there are beautiful views all around for some peace and tranquillity. You can watch the wildlife such as our resident barn Owl and numerous birds of prey, see the cows in the fields, and meet Pip the farm cat. As you wind down on an evening around the warm fire pit, the bats perform their acrobatic displays before roosting for the night.As evening draws in, often with spectacular sunsets,  you may decide on a BBQ with locally sourced meat or to try one of our many pubs, restaurants, or take aways in the local village. The newly owned local Fish & Chip shop offers Pitch & Canvas guests a delivery service to site with an amazing menu, and the local pubs are only a 20 minute gentle stroll away and offer a variety of takings including good old fashioned pub grub, Chinese, or even Indian food.On your return to site why not hire one of our fire pits to cosy round and enjoy toasted marshmallows whilst observing the magnificent night sky and beautiful stars uninhibited by artificial light.
